Spellbound Cafe: A Panfandom AU RPG

In the crowded city of Melanore, a prestigious city of magic that is invisible to those without the Spark, there is an infamous cafe that sits at the corner of Spacious Street and Buglore Street.

Spellbound Cafe, as it is called, is a three story tall building constructed of the strongest magical gingerbread available. It is the home of the best pastries, cakes, coffee and teas in the entire world of magic.

Why is it infamous then?

Every once in a while when the main baker of the cafe disappears for a well deserved vacation, his replacement would take charge and produce defective cakes that spit rainbows and sneeze rabbits. On several occasions, the cakes have changed the gender of lucky patrons and even the colour of their skin. Of course, the effects are always temporary and only lasts about a day or so, thus no one has ever questioned why the replacement have not been fired yet. But still, it has made the patrons of Spellbound Cafe rather wary of the cakes as they never know when the baker waddles off for his vacation.

And you, who had been whisked away to the world of magic once your Spark was discovered, end up in the city of Melanore one day, hearing the latest mishaps from this peculiar cafe.

Curiosity roused, you decide that it shouldn't be so bad if you just visited and try some of those rumored cakes.

You put on your shoes, stuff your keys into your pocket and head out the door.

This transformation has left many traditionalists scared and fighting but most have been liberated due to the changes and are keen to allow them to continue. Mainly the rights for women and children have altered drastically. The change to female rights is almost immediately noticeable with the change of fashion.
Medical and scientific understanding has improved and the experimentation for artificial limb use and ‘upgrades’ to the physical being are becoming highly fashionable however extremely costly.

Whittlewell is the capital city of the British Empire and is on the cutting edge of the steam revolution. Its advances in air ship travel and compact innovations for steam capability are the envy of the world and have lead to the boon in wealth. However the gap between rich and poor is ever expanding.

The year is 1865 and you are invited to come and join us.

Abducted from your home and transported to Glaxcin Prison without warning or any kind of trial, the entire structure is fully automated--meals are prepared, cells are cleaned, sheets are changed--every function operated by an invisible source or force from outside the prison complex. This, of course, is for yours and the Warden's own protection. We wouldn't want to see anyone getting hurt now would we...?
Of course the Warden will hear your requests for personal items such as clothing or jewelry, but any requests for contraband will be strictly denied. Please remember this is for your own safety and personal growth.

We are here to help turn your life around from a world of crime. To make sure you become the best you can be, a structured civilized citizen. But first you have to admit and come to terms with your criminal past and failings. You are all criminals. The sooner you accept it.....

Premise

Looking for a Harry Potter game that's nothing like the rest? How about one you can play original characters in? Don't want to worry about Brit-speak? Then join Salem Academy, the best school for witches and wizards in America! We're in the midst of a brand new school year, so now's your chance to get in on the action.

But what about the attack on the headmaster? Who was behind it, how did they get on campus, and what if it happens again? Wizards live right in the muggle community, under their very noses, a secret that has been kept for centuries. But it looks like that secret's about to come to light.

Wanted Characters

Tired of lack of diversity in games? Looking to play a minority? We welcome them with open arms! We're in dire need of students with parents or siblings who work for the Bureau. Wardwell and Proctor students, Osborn and Wardwell girls and roomates for existing characters. Siblings, cousins, plus-sized, or scene students are all wanted. Cheerleaders as well as Quodpot players need to fill the squads and teams. Got a favorite high school stereotype? Play them at Salem!
